Prosper Learning Trust
Main/Upper Pay Spine plus 1 SEN Allowance (hourly paid)

PROSPER Learning Trust was established in January 2018 with Newcastle Bridges School and Mary Astell Academy. We are striving to further build collaboration across the schools and grow as a Multi Academy Trust, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with schools outside the MAT for the benefit of our students.

PROSPER Learning Trust are seeking to appoint an outstanding Maths and Science specialist to join our successful team in the community. This is a casual contract to offer teaching sessions when required. Our children and young people are referred to Newcastle Bridges School due to various health needs and are taught one to one or in small groups, in the young person’s home, a hospital setting, community buildings or our current base in Benfield School.

We are looking for subject specialist candidates who are able to demonstrate an ability to teach up to higher GCSE and occasionally to A level. Students may have mental health issues, medical needs and specific learning needs. A wide experience is essential to support the diverse needs of the student base across Newcastle City. Flexibility and adaptability are key to these positions. You will be required to work across the city so will need to transport yourself to libraries/homes/school venues to work with students. There will also be a requirement to escort students to teaching sessions when appropriate.

PROSPER Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and anyone applying to work within the Trust is expected to share this commitment. This position is subject to a satisfactory fully enhanced DBS check and references being received.

The successful candidates will be employed by the Community Outreach Team but could be expected to work at any PROSPER Learning Trust site.

Please request and return application forms to admin@prosperlearningtrust.co.uk.
