An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Benfield School from September to work as a Cover Supervisor for 2 days per week as a job share with a permanent member of staff who has recently reduced her working hours.
The days required are 8.00am - 4.00pm on Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30pm on Friday with a 30 minute lunch break, although some flexibility to meet the operational needs of the school is desirable.
Your main role will be to cover lessons and supervise whole classes across all subjects within Key Stages 3 and 4 when teachers are absent, although you will be deployed to undertake a range of other tasks related to student learning if no formal cover is required.
You will need a good knowledge of English and Maths at Level 2 or above and will ideally have higher level qualifications in order to effectively support students’ learning. Previous experience of supervising students in a secondary school environment is highly desirable and you will need to be able to implement school policies effectively to ensure students have appropriate behaviour and attitudes for learning and are safe.
