Home Improvement Officer

£28,785 - £32,029 per annum

37 hours per week

Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a Home Improvement Officer within the Housing Capital Programme to manage the delivery of home adaptations.

The Council is committed to promoting independence and enabling people to live in their own home. You will provide support to vulnerable customers through the Disabled Facilities Grants and adaptation process. You will also respond to complaints and give advice to customers on housing options and property improvement options.

Applications are sought from individuals with expertise in delivering customer support services, managing works to properties; and with experience of working in partnership with a range of partners to deliver positive outcomes for customers.

The role is challenging and varied and you will need to be flexible and able to prioritise a workload with conflicting deadlines.
