Youth Offending Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Youth Offending Team Officer to work within Newcastle Youth Offending Team based at College Street Centre.

You will have experience working with young people in the criminal justice system and of effective multi-agency partnership working.

The work is varied and there can be fluctuations in demand with periods of significant increase. We therefore require you to be flexible, enthusiastic and committed to working with statutory partners and both local and national organisations to improve outcomes for young people.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
